Kpot Korean Bbq & Hot Pot Information

At KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, perched on the bustling foodie strip of 7001 W 135th St in Overland Park, you’re stepping into one of those spots that turns a simple meal into an event worth talking about. From the moment you slide into a booth equipped with its own grill and hot pot burner, it’s clear this isn’t your everyday dinner-this is interactive dining where you’re in charge of the flames and the broth. It’s an all‑you‑can‑eat Korean barbecue and hot pot place that’s casual but vibrant, perfect for groups of friends, family celebrations, or even a fun date night out.

The menu here feels like a choose‑your‑own‑adventure for your taste buds: piles of fresh cuts like pork belly, spicy beef bulgogi, hanger steak and seafood options arrive at your table ready to be grilled or simmered in one of several flavorful broths. There’s something deeply satisfying about popping shrimp or mushrooms into the bubbling pot and then flipping your favorite meats on the grill right beside it. The sauce bar deserves its own rave too, stocked with everything from tangy sesame blends to kickin’ chili mixes so you can customize every bite just the way you like it.

One thing regulars really appreciate is the atmosphere. It manages to be lively without feeling chaotic-you’ll hear laughter and conversation over the hum of tabletop grill vents, and servers are generally on the ball with friendly service that keeps things flowing. Plenty of folks note that part of the joy is the shared experience, flipping meat, dipping into broth, and swapping tips on the best flavor combos. Parking in the shopping center lot is convenient, and the interior feels modern but warm, a place where you can linger without feeling rushed.

That said, like any dining experience that puts you in charge of your own cooking, it’s not entirely fool‑proof-some visitors have mentioned a learning curve with managing both grill and hot pot at once, and there are mixed opinions out there about value versus quality, especially if you’re comparing to more traditional Korean BBQ spots. But if you’re curious about mixing things up and enjoying a meal that’s as much about the experience as it is the food, this location delivers an engaging, flavorful evening that’s hard to beat in the area.

What People's Say About Place

My family and I came out on Wednesday night to celebrate my birthday. We were pleased it was not very crowded and sat right away. Our waitress was very nice and helpful when explaining the process to us. Just an FYI- you are charged extra for any uncooked meat that you order but do not eat. With this in mind, we ordered a reasonable amount that we knew we could finish. The quality of meat was excellent. Everything tasted great. My only complaint is there were not many side dishes to choose from. She offered us rice but the vegetable options were lacking to me. We will be back for sure.

We had an amazing time here! Definitely got our fill of KBBQ. We ate more than we realized. Ethan L. was our server, and the entire time we were there, he was so attentive and accommodating. He always checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the beef belly, hanger steak, and pork belly!

GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!! Raul showed us so much kindness and patience.. we were slow eaters but had such a great time!!! AYCE is so worth it every bite to the inclusive sauce bar and sides! Best thing, their kimichi and pickled radish is yummmmmm!!! I’ve been here 5 times and I will be back!! Thank you so much Raul!!!!

This was my first experience with hotpot! It was such a good experience made great by our waitress, Tay, who was super attentive and explained everything in detail. The food was so flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be going again and trying the new things I’ve been missing!

Our first experience at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot was nothing short of incredible. We came in with two kids under three years old so we knew it might be a bit of a challenge, but the entire team went above and beyond from the very start. While we were waiting, they could clearly see we were struggling a bit in line and made every effort to get us seated as soon as possible. That alone meant more to us than they probably realized. Once we were seated, the hospitality only got better. The owner stopped by multiple times and was genuinely kind and welcoming. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and attentive, and our server made our first time experience effortless. He patiently walked us through how to order, how the cooking works, and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. The food itself was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and such a fun experience. We already know we will be back very soon. Probably without the kids next time so we can really take our time and fully enjoy everything, but we would absolutely bring them again knowing how accommodating and thoughtful the staff is. If you are on the fence about trying KPOT, do it. You will not be disappointed.

Visiting Missouri and Kansas, KPOT popped up as a number 1 search result in a 30 mile radius. Previous reviews left stellar remarks. Working in Kansas City, we waited all week to celebrate our victorious work week. Well chosen beef, chicken, marinades, sauces, and soji made this meal triumphant! Too bad we fly out tomorrow, or we would have made this dinner nightly!!

KPOT offers the best of BOTH worlds with flavorful mini hotpots and sizzling Korean BBQ options, you can definitely do it with either, OR add $5 to do BOTH. The ingredients are fresh, and the broth and marinades are rich and authentic. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it a great spot for both solo meals and group gatherings. Dinner is more expensive than lunch, but it has a lot more food options and it's worth it for me to pay EXTRA. Anybody under 10 will be considered as kids, over 10 will be considered as adults. If tight on budget, consider leaving the kids at home with a sitter...it might still be CHEAPER that way. Yes, we will be back soon! Make sure you come in with a BIG APPETITE as you can only eat so much in 2 HOURS...just saying

Everything was so delicious! Service was quick - we did Korean BBQ and the serving sizes were excellent. Large enough to be substantial but small enough that you could try several items. The sauce bar is extensive as well. Server Kalvin was so attentive and nice! Really fun date night - I would recommend any of the marinated meats. Beef bulgogi, smoked garlic pork belly, and short rib were our favorites.
